My Story

He graduated from the Department of Interior Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2006. During and after his education, he worked in various architectural offices and focused on furniture design. In 2006, he was selected by Wallpaper magazine as one of the 10 promising designers from Turkey.

In 2013, he founded the furniture brand Daedalus together with his partner Emre Evrenos. As an independent designer, he has developed designs for many brands alongside his own and continues his practice in this field.

His clock design Frame, produced by Meyer Objects, was exhibited at MUDAC in Lausanne, Switzerland, and later at the CID museums of design and contemporary art in Hornu, Belgium. The Telling Time exhibition brought together 150 pieces from the last 500 years, collected from various European museums and private collections. Frame was also included in The World Wide Things Collection, a collection of designs from world design capitals, and was exhibited at the Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz, Austria.

In 2019, he won the German Design Award with the same design. In 2023, he was named Designer of the Year by Elle Decoration Turkey, and in 2024, he received the Sustainable Design Award.

Between 2014 and 2017, he served as a part-time lecturer in the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Kadir Has University; since 2016, he has continued his academic career at Bahçeşehir University.
