In the Bond chair and stool, what I aimed for was to create a sense of sympathy from the other side and to establish an easy connection with the user. In chair and stool design, the most characteristic element is often the backrest—the front side is, in fact, the back. In this design, we see a circular form on the back, to which the two rear legs connect naturally, along with structural elements that integrate harmoniously with them. In this piece, the seat and backrest do not stand apart; instead, they form a unified whole with the supporting structure.
